This week (4 October 2019) saw the opening of Russia: Far From Black and White in the wonderfully named Marble Palace in St Petersburg. Five TV stations, 10 journalists and over 200 members of the public attended the private view...In this extraordinary venue the exhibition itself was beautifully curated by The Russia Museum who spent three days perfecting the overall flow and feel.
The exhibition will be on display until Nov 3rd. Then in the spring of 2020, it will grace the walls of Exposed Center for Art in Moscow, (the official project partners) before touring to venues in the US and UK. Dates TBA.
In November there will be a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the project with the accompanying English/Russian hardback book, published by the Russia Museum, available to buy at the Kickstarter price of £25.
The long term aim is to facilitate a second trip, this time crossing the eastern plains on the Trans Siberian railway which would be a childhood dream come true...
