In the summer of 2021 Barry Cawston 'found' a box under the stairs of the Old Drugstore in Axbridge Somerset, the C15th Tudor house that he lives in. It contained prints, letters and a Journal dating back to 1945-1946.

During the imposed lock down Cawston discovered the name of the owner to be that of a WWII Spitfire Pilot, Flight Lieutenant Oscar Waits and as he 'uncovered' more of the Pilots' story some elements uncannily mirrored Cawston's own life in the house.

With the help of writer Emily Kay Goodman, who is based in Axbridge, Somerset Gallery owner Freeny Yiani and Art Producer Kath Cocksure they found several remakable newspaper clippings that brought new understanding to the letters and photographs.

In the Summer of 2023 The Drugstore will host an exhibition that will tell The Untold Story of Oscar Waits.
